Hello from aboard the good Ship HMS President, which is currently rocking in the torrential rain, although we have also been enjoying lovely sunny evenings on deck this month, oh, and hailstones!
In spite of the changeable weather, since our last blog we have busy with a diverse range of clients and projects including;
• preparing to shoot a promo for our new friends at e.g fashion who are an up and coming fashion label, with gorgeous clothes which are designed and made in London! We have produced the creative, crewed the project and are shooting in August… watch this space!
• preparing a post production team for an absolutely stunning documentary film that is heading to the Sundance Film Festival, more on this next month…..
• we have completed an internal communications project for Aegis Media which entailed our filming workshop and training activities, then making the content globally available online for their staff and clients, all within 48 hours!
• creating branding assets for a groovy bespoke events company…. And much more!
We feel the tide is turning (this may be literal, being as we are on the Thames?!?) and in our conversations with broadcasters, agencies and companies out there we are finding lots to be positive about! We have even succumbed to twitter, although not obsessively yet- find us at www.twitter.com/creativenation.
As ever, we have also been engaging in fun and games. Many of you will have already had a giggle at the promo we made with The Gents in support of and making maximum use of The Street Pianos Project. The guys were such a success that we were invited by our friends at Sing London to join in the grand finale. The pianos were literally being taken from the streets of London, and it was pouring with rain, but we had an amazing time! See the promo here…
Our favourite find this month was the eternal moonwalk project in memory of Michael Jackson. We feel this represents all that is lovely about the fact that anyone can make short films now, and that the internet enables us to share them with the world. Check it out at www.eternalmoonwalk.com and see if you can find our contribution, although they chopped the best bit off, we forgive them as it’s such a beautiful thing!
Happy Summertime!
